Mobility Fee Program

People on Bikes

The City of Altamonte Springs adopted mobility fees in 2016. The City Commission adopted Ordinance 1751-20 to update the mobility fees and related definitions on April 21, 2020.

The updated fees go into effect on August 1, 2020.

  • Any building permit issued before August 1, 2020 will pay the current mobility fees.
  • Any building permit issued on or after August 1, 2020 will pay the updated mobility fees on the rate schedule.

Periodic updates to the mobility fees are required to update project list and project costs along with new data from the latest update to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Household Travel Survey.

The overall fees collected within the City will be reduced as a result of the City and Seminole County’s innovative partnership. As of August 1, 2020, the County will no longer collect its current Road Impact Fee within the City. Furthermore, the City continues to offer lower rates for new development located in the City’s activity centers or the transit-oriented area near the SunRail Station.
