World of Spice

Thursdays | March 7 & April 4 | 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
The City Library invites you to explore the World of Spice, a free monthly series introducing patrons to the history, uses and fun facts about spices you may have never used. It’s time to liven up your recipes and learn about the many flavors that can add zing to your next meal. These adult classes are held on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Join us and receive a unique spice kit each month which includes the featured spice and a recipe card.

ESOL Classes

This program introduces non-native speakers to English and provides a place to practice English language skills. Conversation Hour is an opportunity to practice all the English language skills you have learned with other non-native speakers. Classes meet the first three full weeks of the month.

Uncover the world of computer basics with us! We’re using DigitalLearn’s exceptional online resources to offer a series of classes taught by our librarians. Dive into various topics in the digital realm and enhance your tech skills with us. It’s a great opportunity to learn to navigate the desktop, use email, browse the web and staying safe online. U.S. Citizenship & Naturalization Preparation Class

Tuesdays | February 27 & March 5, 12, 19 & 26 | 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
This 4-week program is designed to help permanent residents prepare for the U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization process. The class helps participants learn about civics and U.S. history while preparing them to take the U.S. Citizenship Test and Interview. Registration is required.

Chat & Chew Book Club

Saturdays | February 24 & March 23 | 2 - 3 p.m. | Ages 18 and Up
Join us for our new “BYOBook” club! Chat & Chew adds a new twist (and snacks!) to the typical book club. Instead of reading the same book, each month has a different theme. You’re invited to bring your favorite book from that theme to discuss with other book lovers. City Librarians will stir up the conversation while you discover new stories, make new friends and satisfy your literary appetite. Registration is required.
