Summer Reading Program

2021 Summer Reading Program

School is out, and summer is here! Reading over summer vacation can be fun for everyone, and it’s important for students to keep the skills they learned in school finely tuned. This summer, join the Altamonte Springs City Library in connecting children to vibrant learning adventures with reading.

The Library’s five-week Summer Reading Program is an exciting opportunity for children to explore creativity while growing their knowledge through books about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).

The program encourages participants to read with tracking logs and offers weekly activities featuring guest speakers and take-home STEAM-related crafts. Logs are checked and updated weekly by Library staff. Participants who read at least five books will receive a book of their choice as a prize at the last session.
