Police Explorers
 Police Exporers
Our best today for a better tomorrow.
The Altamonte Springs Police Department has an established Police Explorer Program (Explorer Post #596). Our mission is to fill our post with enthusiastic and active young persons who are interested in developing a working knowledge of law enforcement through relationships with members of the Altamonte Springs Police Department.

Explorers are trained in areas of law enforcement for competition, but more importantly they receive training that will assist them in accomplishing their life goals. Explorers are provided a road map to success with an emphasis on education and community involvement. Participation as an explorer may be eligible to earn community service hours needed to apply for the Bright Futures Scholarship programs.

The program emphasis is:
  • Career Opportunities
  • Leadership Skills
