Altamonte Recreation
Part of what makes a vibrant community healthy is physical activities and Altamonte Recreation has something for just about every level of ability and age: Join a league, take a class, exercise in the Therapeutic Pool, stroll around Cranes Roost, commune with nature at Lake Lotus Park, shoot some hoops, read a book, learn to swim or any number of other recreational activities. 

City Clerk
The Office of the City Clerk pledges the highest degree of excellence and professionalism. Our office issues Business Tax Receipts, takes minutes of City Commission meetings, coordinates Citizen Boards/Committees, maintains ordinances, resolutions, developer agreements and contracts, researches liens, fulfills public record requests and notary services.

Our mission is to responsibly manage the financial affairs of the City by providing careful investment, sound financial leadership and efficient and courteous service to our residents. If you’re interested in doing business with the City, the Procurement Division can provide all the information you need. Utility Billing can start or stop water service to your home or business.  Accounts Payables/Receivables and Risk Management are also key components of the Department.

Geographic Information System
Geographic Information System (GIS) is a technology used to analyze and understand spatial data. It allows the City to visualize and interpret data to understand relationships, patterns and trends which in turn allows the organization to make better decisions. GIS is a cross departmental asset which helps the City better serve the community.

Growth Management
Altamonte Springs is a unique community achieved through diverse land use with modern amenities such as parks, lakes, urban plazas, walkways and landscaping that meet the needs of our residents and businesses. This is accomplished via: current and long range planning, development review, issuing building permits and inspection services, code compliance, promoting community development and redevelopment and maintaining the Comprehensive City Plan – the guide to future growth.

Proud to be a part of the Altamonte Springs community since 1960, the Library houses a permanent collection of 36,000 items, including: Audio Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Books, DVD’s, Online Databases and E-Books. Reading is fundamental!

Police Department

The Altamonte Springs Police Department is proud to be an accredited agency by the Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation. Our dedicated staff is committed to serving the residents of our community by providing the highest level of police services. Some of the services we provide are: Neighborhood Watch, Community Oriented Police Services (COPS), Tours and Crime Prevention.

Our services and projects positively impact the lives of residents and visitors on a daily basis: Sanitation, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection, Sewer, Streets and Stormwater and Engineering.
