Festival Drive
The City of Altamonte Springs created the Uptown Altamonte area and business district to boost economic development and provide benefits to commercial patrons and residents alike. With the planned expansion of living areas and new businesses, we aim to provide an attractive, functional and pedestrian-friendly experience in the Uptown Altamonte area.

This project, anticipated to end February 2017, will upgrade the infrastructure, provide continuous pedestrian and bicycle access and create an urban environment in Uptown Altamonte to enhance business activity in the area. Improvements and renovations will include features such as:
  • Wider sidewalks
  • Frequent pedestrian crossing opportunities
  • Traffic calming features such as narrow travel lanes, brick paver intersections and landscape strips
  • Other streetscape amenities
