Storm Cleanup & Trash Collection
Cleanup of larger yard waste caused by Hurricane Matthew continues until Friday, October 21. Residents should pile tree limbs, etc. at the edge of their property for collection.

Park Closures
The Lake Orienta Boat Ramp is closed until further notice.

Tree Removal
Arbor permits (tree removal permits) are NOT required to remove storm-damaged trees through November 1. This permit exemption applies to all properties. Property owners are still responsible for providing replacement trees for removed tree as follows:
  • Single-family residential and duplex properties are required to maintain a minimum of two trees on the lot in accordance with Land Development Code section Trees are to have a minimum caliper of 2 inches (the diameter measured 6 inches above the ground) and be Florida No. 1 Quality or better. Trees meeting these two specifications will typically have a height of 8 feet or higher and a canopy spread of 5 feet or greater.

  • Multi-family, commercial and industrial properties are required to replace unhealthy and dead trees within 30 days pursuant to Land Development Code section Replacement trees are to conform to the specifications for the individual removed trees as indicated on the City-approved landscape plan for the property.
